Gravel can be a great alternative to using concrete, and it does away with any drainage problems either underground or around the base. The success of gravel as a post setting depends on the soil. It doesn’t work in sandy soils, but is great for heavy clay-based soils. The best way to determine the type of soil you have is to use a soil test kit.

You can find these kits at most garden centers, or you can order them online. The kit will tell you whether your soil is clay, loam, sand, silt, peat or some other type. If you are using gravel, you will need to test it to make sure it is the right type for your site.

The fence may be made of any material that is not combustible, but it must meet the requirements of this section. However, if a fence is constructed in such a way that it can be easily removed, it may still be considered a “fence” for the purposes of these rules.

If you’re looking for a fence that’s easy to install, you’ll want to look for one that has a low profile.

If you don’t have a lot of space to work with, it may be a good idea to go with something with a lower profile, such as a 2×4 or a 4×6. You’ll be able to get away with using less material, which will save you time and money.
