What plastics Cannot be recycled?
Non-recyclable plastics include bioplastics, plastic-coated wrapping paper, and polycarbonate. The cling film and plastic wrap are non-recyclable. The term “recycleable plastic” means a plastic that can be re-used in the manufacture of a new product. The term does not include plastics that have been chemically altered, such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polypropylene (PP), which are not recyclable. PP may be recycled, but they may not be used in new products.
In some cases, the plastic used to make a product may have to be reprocessed in order for it to meet the requirements of this definition. This is because some plastics are more difficult to recycle than others, and it is not always possible to determine whether a particular plastic is recycled or not.
Does Lowes actually recycle plastic bags?
Keep in mind Lowe’s stores offer a recycling center (usually near the entrance) that accepts plastic bags, CFL bulbs, rechargeable batteries, and cellphones. Plastic planter pots and cases can be found in the garden center at Lowe’s.
