We do accept large items like furniture if it is in excellent, sellable condition in all our stores, except at our Donation Trailers also known as the Attended Donation Center’s (ADC’s) or our Store Donation Centers (SDC’s) as they are typically small and do not have the capacity to accept larger items.

Should I wash clothes before donating to Goodwill?

It’s a good idea to wash or dry-clean clothing. The items to be tested are electrical equipment and battery-operated items. Children’s games and toys should be included with all pieces and parts. To determine standards for donating computers and other electronic equipment, you should check with your local Goodwill Industries agency.

Is Goodwill taking donations Minnesota?

It is easy to donate through our convenient process. We can’t help you with unloading, but you can find your neighborhood Goodwill and drive through our donation bay. Goodwill accepts thousands of new and gently-used items each year, including clothing, household goods, furniture, electronics, toys, books, and more. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Does Goodwill allow colored hair?

A plain colored shirt, a blue Goodwill vest, closed toed shoes, and black, denim, or khaki pants are included. Colored hair, blue or green, is acceptable.

Does Goodwill Industries pick up furniture?

Schedule a pickup, and Goodwill will come right to you. Most Goodwill locations offer pick-up services for furniture or other large items that are hard to transport, but you’ll want to contact your local Goodwill to find out whether or not they offer this service.
