How do I make my own grass paint?

For a small to medium sized yard, begin with about one pound of liquid lawn fertilization in a large bucket. Add four pounds of salt and a cup of green liquid food coloring to the bucket. Add each gallon of water to the stir.

For larger yards, you may want to use a larger bucket and mix the fertilizer and salt together in the same bucket, but you will need to add a little more water to the mix to get the desired amount of fertilizer.

For example, if you are using a 1-gallon bucket for a 2-acre yard and you add ¾ of a pound per gallon, then you would add about 1.5 gallons to your mix. You can also add more fertilizer to a smaller bucket by mixing it in with the water and adding more salt.

If you have a bucket that is large enough to hold a gallon or more of the mixture, it will be easier to mix it all in one go.
