Once you have the desired length and height, trim the tips to encourage branching and the cloud shape will begin to fill out. If you want to change the shape of the branches, you can use stakes or weights. Once the branches have been shaped, they are ready to be attached to the tree.

To attach them, you will need to drill a hole in the center of each branch. This hole should be at least 3/8″ in diameter. You can use a drill press to make this hole larger or smaller depending on the size of your tree and how many branches you plan to attach to it.

If you are going to use stakes, make sure that the stakes are long enough so that they will not fall through the hole when you attach the trees to each other. It is also a good idea to have stakes that are longer than you think you’ll need, so you don’t end up with a tree that is too big for your space.
