Sharing a file with other peers is known as seeding. If you leave the torrent job seeding, it will uploads the file to other peers so they can download them as well. A seed is a copy of the entire torrent file. A download is an individual file that is downloaded by a peer.
If you download a single file, you are downloading the whole torrent, not just a part of it. You can also download multiple files at the same time, but you can only download one file at a time.

How do you add seeds to utorrent?
Double-click the torrent to which you want to add seeds. Click the General tab. It’s in the top-left corner of the Properties window. Click on the Torrents tab, and then click the Add Torrent button. This will add a new torrent file to the list of available torrents.
