Jackie’s killer was eventually caught and sentenced to death by hanging. However, the execution was postponed due to the outbreak of the First World War, and the sentence was commuted to life in prison with no chance of parole.
After her execution, Jackie was buried in Westminster Abbey, but her remains were never found.
